Being efficient
and keeping
your cool.

The Power of Good Advice born from experience and industry knowledge.

Efficient Cooling

Let's keep our cool.

Everyone loves a chilled drink, but it doesn't have to come at the cost of excessive energy consumption.

By implementing a few smart strategies, we can reduce energy usage while still enjoying chilled drinks. This not only reduces the clubs carbon footprint but saves money too. Below, you can explore key areas to focus on, from optimising the size of the cellar to using energy-efficient cooling units and smart controls.

REDUCING YOUR CELLAR & BAR COOLING COSTS

Right-sizing Your Bar Cellar

When it comes to cooling drinks, size matters! Evaluate the size of your cellar and ensure it's appropriate for your needs. A smaller cellar means less space to cool, reducing energy requirements. Consider organising and decluttering to maximise efficiency.

Clearing the Heat: Remove Heat-Producing Equipment from the Cellar.

To optimise energy efficiency, consider relocating heat-producing equipment, such as ice machines, compressors or beer chillers, to outside the cellar. This reduces the strain on cooling systems and eliminates unnecessary heat buildup, making the cooling process more efficient.

Insulate your Cellar for Success

Insulation plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal temperatures within your cellar. Check for any gaps, cracks, or poor insulation in your cellar. Seal them to prevent cool air from escaping and warm air from infiltrating. This simple step can significantly reduce energy waste.

Cool Fridges, Cool Savings

Don't overlook the energy efficiency of your beer fridges. Opt for energy-efficient models that consume less power without compromising performance. Properly maintain and clean the fridges to ensure optimal cooling efficiency.

Smart Controls for Smart Savings

Take advantage of smart controls to automate and optimise your cooling system and fridges. Install temperature sensors and timers to regulate cooling equipment. Smart controls can turn off equipment when not in use or adjust cooling levels based on demand, saving energy and reducing costs.

Maintenance Matters:

Regular maintenance is key to keeping your cooling equipment running efficiently. Clean condenser coils, replace filters, and ensure proper airflow to maximise performance. Regularly inspect equipment for any signs of wear or inefficiency and address issues promptly.
